Year 6 took part in the Wolds Rounders tournament this week, their very first competitive rounders matches! They did really well, played 5, won 2. But most importantly they had a great time!

Our children recently took part in a cross country event at Woldgate College. It was an excellent event and all children did very well-especially as the conditions were extremely difficult and very, very muddy.
Harry in Year 4 came third and won a medal, Kyle (Year 3) & Isaac (Year 4) came in the top 10, whilst Indianna (Year 5) narrowly missed out a chance on competing in the East Riding championships next week, however she was running against alot of year 6′s.
We were really pleased to see everyone supporting each other throughout the competition.

Today the entire school had the chance to be inspired by Dr. Jo Willoughby, a member of the Team GB Skiing Squad, and winner of over 30 medals and titles to date.
Through her assembly the school sat rapt and attentive, as she told us of her life as a skiier, her training, her motivation, her competitions, her time with Team GB, and much, much more.
Thank you so much to Dr. Willoughby for visiting us, we’ll definitely be keeping in touch!
Jo is an inspiration, but to keep inspiring she’s always keen to talk to more people prepared to provide sponsorship. If you think this could be you, get in touch via her website – www.jowilloughby.co.uk
Here are a few pictures of today’s visit, head to the school website for more.

Due to the extremely wet weather, and the wet condition of the school field, the school has taken the decision to postpone today’s Foundation Stage Sports Day until the alternate date of MONDAY 2nd JULY.
And sadly, the alternate date has been all rainy and miserable as well! So we’ve had to CANCEL Foundation Stage Sports Day – more updates very soon!
