Friday, January 6th, 2012

This week we have had a great time. We came back to school and saw our teacher and our friends. We talked about our holidays and what we got for Christmas. We have also learnt a new number song about odd and even numbers and we have written a recount about our holidays.

We all wrote new year resolutions and we are hoping to stick to them.

We have been working hard.

Our Top Secret Mission

Wednesday, December 7th, 2011

Our top secret mission is now complete.

We were asked to create a new take 10/ boogie beebies dance for our school. We spent lots of time planning our routine and writing the instructions for the children to follow. We then put all of our routine together and Miss Griffiths organised for the dance to be filmed.

We have watched the video and we are very pleased with the result.

We will post the video on our blog very soon.

We really enjoyed our ‘Top Secret Mission’.

A busy week in Ash class.

Thursday, October 20th, 2011

Ash class have had a very busy week.

They have been finding out lots of information about eachother and putting the data into charts.

They have also been reading the story ‘Handa’s Surprise’  The children have been thinking about the different fruits and how they can describe them. The children had lots of ideas.

On Tuesday we had some very special visitors from Sweden. The children were able to ask lots of questions and find out about where Sweden is and how it is different from England.

Ash class also learnt some Swedish words.

They were…

potatoe- potatis

banana- banan

orange- apelsin

tomatoe- tomat

carrot- morot

apple- ápple

pear- páron

onion- lók

The children had lots of fun learning these new words. The children then  shared their new words with the rest of the school and also parents at the Harvest concert which was held on Tuesday afternoon.

The children in Ash are looking forward to learning lots more in the new half term!
