Film ClubPosted by: James Greenwood in BETT, iCT@C, Media, NEWS, Parents, pastoral, WebsiteFILMCLUB gives pupils and teachers the chance to explore the world of film through after school film clubs. With free weekly screenings, online reviewing, industry events and hands on support, FILMCLUB inspires, excites and opens up new avenues for learning. SO WHAT’S SO GOOD ABOUT IT? Although it’s fun just watching movies with your friends, that’s not all FILMCLUB offers. Immersing yourself in a vibrant mix of vintage hits, international classics, blockbusters, art movies and all points in between, seeing films made years ago and others fresh out this week, stories produced in every corner of the world… well, it’s a surefire way to find yourself dazzled, provoked, amused, shocked and uplifted. (And sometimes all at once.) CAN I JOIN? From the biggest inner-city secondary to the smallest rural primary school, all state-funded schools in England can become part of the FILMCLUB community for free. Teachers or 6th form students can join up online and we’ll do all we can to help you run a great film club. (But if you’re not a teacher at a state-funded school in England and you’re interested in what we do, don’t worry – we’ll see if we can help.) WILL I LEARN ANYTHING? We’ll be encouraging you to watch films from all over the world, made in every possible era, so you can explore countless different cultures, characters and new ways of telling stories. By discussing and writing about the films, you’ll sharpen your critical skills and impress your friends with your encyclopedic film knowledge. IS IT REALLY FREE? Yes – FILMCLUB is absolutely free if you’re a state funded school in England. We believe that all young people deserve access to as many films made as possible. Funding from the Department for Children, Schools and Families is helping us to make that happen. CLICK HERE for more details Tags: BETT2010, club, extra-curricular, Film, media, Website

It will convert a jpg sequence into a, by codec compressed, movie.
I created it for making timelapse movies of large sequences of jpg stills
and couldn't find any freeware programs to do the trick the way i wanted it.
PhotoLapse needs no installing nor does it modify your registry, just one executable.
