Y2 – Palm

I hope that you have all had a happy Half Term with your families. I have been busy organizing our Learning Adventure for the next seven weeks! What a great time we are going to have together. This next half of term we will learn  how to blog – so that you can put some of your fantastic work on our class blog and share your learning with your family and friends around the world. Everyone has been so fantastic at playing Mathletics online, that I am sure we will want to use our writing skills now to blog too!

You will see on the Planner below some of the amazing things we are going to do. Cinderella is such a lovely story, but did you know that there is a Cinderella story written about a girl in Ireland, another in China, one in the Caribbean…. and in lots of other countries too? In each story the main character is bullied by her sisters…. we will work together to try and make a difference and stop bullying. In another version of the story we will read about a boy, Prince Cinders, who has brothers who are mean and bully him.

We will also work together to help raise  money for ‘Children in Need’ and we will use the skills we have learned in following instructions, and also our numeracy skills to help us run a cafe to raise funds for a cancer charity, Macmillan.
