Y2 – Palm

It was lovely to see 3 comments on the blog this morning! I have a sneaky feeling that they may be from one of our special friends now in Year 3! It’s so great that you still keep reading and posting on the blog. I’d love to hear about what you are doing in your class…. are you enjoying learning the Christmas Number 1 song?

Did you know that year 2 got to 15th on the Mathletics top UK classes on Thursday! We were really impressed and proud of our achievement. This week has been amazing, as with the help of Little Miss Sporty, Little Miss Sparkle Dust and some fantastic parents we have been able to start Mathletics clubs every night of the week! Every night is full, but if you want to join, I have a waiting list and I will let you know if  we get any more spaces.

Did you see the Peter Kaye Song for Children in need? It was so good it has gone straight to number 1! We all wrote some super sentences about our favourite characters from it.

Next week we are off to see Aladdin at the theatre in Harrogate. I am really looking forward to it! We are going to learn how to sew too, so that we can make our own magic carpets!

What a busy week we have had! It was great to see so many parents and children on our two parents evenings and everyone seemed to enjoy Pudsey’s Cafe! We had a full tin of money for Children in Need and Macmillan, but were so busy that it has been locked away for counting on Monday!

We were very busy in class, making Rice Crispy cakes and learning how to make tea and toast, ready to help run the cafe! In PE we performed an amazing version of the Riverdance to show how the two times table is really repeated addition, with two children joining the dancing line at a time.

Everyone has been busy doing some fantastic storyboards and super stories which are all their own versions of Cinderella. We will be finishing them this week and hopefully you will get a chance to enjoy some of them here on the blog!

Also next week sees the start of the After School Mathletics clubs -   every night of the week! Many thanks to all the family members who have made this possible by volunteering to come and help run the clubs.

Cinderella has yellow hair and she has to wear dirty clothes. She was sad and she has to clean all the dishis from her two ugly step sister.Cinderella has to do all the coocking and make the two ugly step sisters dresis to go to the ball.When they got there the prins askd Cinderella if she wanti to dance . Cinderella said yes I will! Then she fee got the time. Cinderella ran home but her glass sliper fllof.Then the prins was tring to chase  her but he cood not chase her.Then the prins went to Cinderella house then the two ugly sister sed pleas may I try on the glass sliper,but it did not fit them. Then Cinderella said can I try on the glass  sliper or yes you can.Then Cinderella tryd it on but it fit her. Then the two ugly sisters said it cud not be her. Then the fairy god muther came and chaged Cinderella into a buteful girl with a buteful dress.

They were dancing together.Beautiful Cinderella was dancing with the Prince and they were happy.
