What a fantastic time we have had this week!

We all really enjoyed our trip to Elland Road on Friday. Kes, from the Learning Zone at Leeds United took us round. He showed us the amazing pitch and told us all about how it was looked after. We sat in the seats in the Don Revie stand, where he told us some fascinating facts about Leeds United. We went back to the Learning Zone and enjoyed a ‘Who wants to be a Millionaire’ style quiz all about Leeds United and the children all enjoyed being able to use the remote controls to give their answers! Asma got all the questions right and won a Leeds United Frisbee. Kes also gave us some spare frisbees that we will take on our trip to Harewood to play with, and then I shall give them to some children who are being the best they can be all the time! After the quiz we wanted back out to the pitch and walked round, sat in posher seats and then some of the children ventured right up to the gantry. The view was amazing looking down on the green pitch where all the action takes place! After that the class posed for photos in the dug up and the tunnel, before finishing our trip with a picnic at the Billy Bremner Statue.

Thank you Kes, for giving us all a brilliant time. I really liked the story you told us about John Charles and why he was known as the Gentle Giant.

Miss Teacher hasn’t been with you today, but tonight she has read all the poems that you worked on in the computer suite this morning. I feel so proud of you all when you work hard. Well done!

I’m also really proud to see that we are number 23 in the Top 50 classes in Mathletics, and that Shoaib and Abdi have both score over 4,000! I also know that Abdi can now do 100 skips and is practising the ‘Skip Counting Challenge!’ Well done!!
