Wallwisher… by Miss Teacher.

Posted by admin on Sunday Feb 27, 2011 Under Literacy

Wallwisher is a great website which we are going to start to use together this half term. It’s like a special notice board – everyone can share their ideas on it. Below you will find the link to our 1st special wall… it is all about who your favourite Mr Men or Little Miss characters are. Just like the blog, when you ‘make a sticky’ for it, first it will come to my email and then I will put it up for you. Everyone else that looks at the wall will see what you put on it.

Have a peek now – I have put our 1st sticky up. remember too, to put your name on the message!

Posted by admin on Sunday Feb 27, 2011 Under Literacy, Mr men

Hi everyone – yes we are back at school tomorrow and the class room will be full of Mr Men, and of course, Little Misses! They are written by Roger Hargreaves, and actually he wrote stories about animals too – they were called ‘Timbuctoo!’

Here are some posters I have made with the Mr Men on them to use in our Literacy lessons!

Good to me be! by Miss Fisher.

Posted by admin on Saturday Feb 26, 2011 Under Literacy

Here is the planner for the next half term… as you can see it is going to be a really exciting Learning Adventure… we have some special days like, World Maths Day, World book Day and Red Nose day coming up and we have a visit from some children at Micklefield Primary to look forward too! We will be busy reading lots of stories by Roger Hargreaves and we will create our own special Mr Men character and write stories about our own characters. Over half term I went to a Ukulele workshop, with a very talented Ukulele player called Steven Sproat – he has said he would love to come and play the ukulele for you all, so I am trying to arrange that too! We need to get practising, becuase when you hear the new Red Nose day song, you will notice a line in the song that say..”Can you play the Ukulele?’ So I would like some of us to play in a special Red Nose Day Together time!

Jordan’s catch by Hussain

Posted by ha0657 on Saturday Feb 26, 2011 Under Literacy

All the children stood and watched  as the ball flew off  the bat and went high in the air.,,It’s coming to you, Jordan,” called  Kris.,,It’ your catch!”Jordan looked up and ran towards the ball coming down. He watched the ball coming down.He held up his hands to catch it as it dropped out of the sky.The ball hit Jordan’s hands and bounced up.He grabbed at it,but is slipped through his fingers. He lost his balance and fell over.Jordan lay on the grass and watched the ball rolling towards the fence.”I’m sorry,” he said to kris . “I lost the game for us.” “Oh , don’t worry,” said kris. “Everyone  drops catches.”Cheer up, jordan,” said dad as they went home. “I’ve got a suprise for you. Look –I’ve  been given two  tickets for the big match tomorrow.” “Hey, thats great, dad,” said jordan. “our home team is playing  for the cup!” “I;ll watch it later on television,” said mum. “You go with dad, jordan, and forget about dropping that catc. I,m sure you’ll take the next one that comes to you.”

New Word game – Word duck! from Miss Teacher.

Posted by admin on Saturday Feb 19, 2011 Under Literacy

Can you believe that it is snowing! Never mind, if you have the Internet at home you can keep busy – learning and having fun.

I have found a new word game and have put in some lists of words for you to play with. Word list 1 is not very tricky, the connective list is a little bit trickier – but if you want a real challenge play with the adjective list and the feelings and emotions list! Here’s the link

Long, long ago, there lived a Hairem Scarem. No one new where he came from.Everyone wished he would go away. The

Hairem Scarem had heary arms.He had heary legs and heary toes.He had a heary face, he had a heary back and heary

so long  that he couldn’t see where he was going. When he swam in the sea, fish  got stuck in it. When he walked in the

full of slugs and bugs and baby birds. But the Hairem Scarem didn’t  care. And his hair grew and grew. One sunny day,

the Hairem Scarem was sitting on the warm sand. A turtle tripped over his hear. The turtle landed on his back with his
