Y2 – Palm

What fabulous designs you all thought of! Every Number buddy looks amazing! So now we are starting to think about how we can use the puppet to help the younger children with their Maths. There are lots of things that they can count on our puppets, and you have been remembering to tell the learner that it helps to touch each thing as you count them. Next week we will be  working with some of the children in Year 1, Reception and even Nursery! Some of you will even get to use your Number Buddy with your younger brothers and sisters! I know you and your Number Buddy will be amazing together!

Everyone has done a fantastic design for their own Number Buddy! Using Revelation Art we did pictures of our designs. Now we have  started  to make the puppets, and soon we will start practising how we can use our Buddies to help teach maths!

Another great week is planned for us all! We will be busy planning and starting to write our own adventures for Horrid Henry! We will imagine what Henry might have done if he had come on our trip to Harewood House – we were all just like Perfect Peter – but if Henry had been with us……….

On Thursday we have a Science Workshops from Shell – and we will be learning about making candles – as we discover more about changing materials.

Also this week we are going to be designing our own amazing sock puppets… but our sock puppets are going to be very special puppets with an important job to do. They will all be Number Buddies – that means they will have lots of different features – but 1 something, 2 of something else – all the way to 10! Then you will get to plan how you can use you Number Buddy to teach some Maths, and we will be videoing your shows to share with Reception and year 1! I have been busy this weekend making some Number buddies myself! Hope you like them! I had lots of fun – so I’m sure you will all enjoy it too!

Some of the class used the app – Strip Designer to design their own page about Harewood House!

On wednesday we  went to Harewood House. We were happy because it was exiting and evreyone was cheering and cheering. We saw some female and male ducks. Even some real pink flamingos. We were lucky inuf  to see some bugs! A lady called lisa talked to us about bugs. There where some cocrochs.

On Wednesday we went to Harewood House on  June the 15 th and we saw penguings in the tank.First we saw chickens they were so funuy and good.The birds were flying around the place. We saw  the big geodomes and  the ducks were beautiful and fantastic.

I  sat with Miss Y0unas and Miss  Jones on the  blue  bus. I saw penguins  swimming and   i  saw  flamingos  looking at us and i also saw the beautyiful ducklings. I saw hens and i saw  flowers.  I   saw  the  bugs and i was very brave because i held a snail in my hand.I saw  a  big   farm   with  animls.

Yesterday we   went    to Harewood    house   and  we  saw  lost   of amazing   things.

On Wednesday we went to Harewood House. When we got off the coach  everyone was happy. We saw some real flamingos .We took some beautiful pictures and we had lots of fun. I held a  snail.

I like  the geopods. Our Picnic Was Really Fun. And I Like the hen. I love Harewood House! I like the snail and I had it in my hand and it was slimy!

We  all  went to Harewood House.  We started from the car park.We went through the bird garden and then we went to see the snail.We all saw the bumpy cocroach. Then we went to lunch and then we played for 10 minis.
