I enjoyed seeing the Olympic torch!
Did you see it? It was amazing! The torch was bigger than I imagined, and it looked fantastic. I loved the design with the holes and the logo, and it shimmered in the evening sunshine. I saw a few of you with your torches too… they looked great too. I didn’t get many pictures, but here are a few. If your family took some photos, perhaps you can post them on the blog too.
This week we are going to begin to read lots of Horrid Henry stories and we will be working towards writing our own version of Horrid Henry.
In our Creative sessions we are going to design our own Snakes and Ladders boards, which we will be able to play with each other, and will also take to teach Year 1 how to play. Count on has a good interactive version of Snakes and Ladders, and lots of other great Maths stuff.

We have learned so many facts about the Olympic torch and now we are all very excited about seeing it on Harehills Lane on Sunday at about 6.30pm! We all designed and made our own models of torches, and then took them home ready for the event!
