Communication and Collaboration Tools for North Lincs Teachers

A date for your diary!

Come and join us in the wonderful setting of the Birmingham Botanical Gardens & Glasshouses for the Growing Schools Conference: The Creative Outdoor Classroom, on April 7th.

This event will run from 9.30am (registration and coffee) to 4.30pm and will offer an inspirational set of talks, walks and lectures on how to work with the many ‘Growing Schools’ informal education providers and their resources to help you deliver science, geography, citizenship, art and mathematics lessons.

The day will be launched with a keynote talk by Chris Beardshaw (designer of the Growing Schools Garden which won a Gold Medal at Hampton Court 2007) , and will continue with a range of fun and participative workshops on everything from gardening techniques to debating the sustainability of agriculture. There will be an exciting opportunity to be amongst the first people to see the ‘Growing Schools’ garden that will be opened that same day and to explore a ‘Market Stall’ exhibition of great resources and activity programmes by such organisations as FACE, the RHS, the Federation of City Farms and Community Gardens, the Botanic Gardens Education Network, the National Association of Field Study Officers and the Eden Project.
