Yorkshire Humber Grid For Learning (YHGfL) are releasing their Safer Internet Day 2012 resources to support initiatives around the UK, Europe and the world. The microsite can be viewed at ( here) and you can follow our latest SID developments via Twitter at(@YHGfLSID2012)
The key theme of Safer Internet Day 2012 is “Discovering the digital world together safely” and has a focus on people from different ages supporting and helping others in the online world. An important example of this is for young people to raise awareness about different digital devices with parents, carers and grandparents so that they know how to support their children and grandchildren whilst they are online.
YHGfL are offering an array of resources to support schools with running a Safer Internet Day event for other stakeholders. Central to this is a video resource which explains the specific resources which a school will need to run a series of workshops. This is supported by a number of documents which include PowerPoint presentations, posters and guidance documents for teachers in order that the event can be run easily. » Read more: Safer Internet Day 2012 Resources
