Hi. I am having really good time. The week has passed very quickly but at the same time it feels like I have been here for ages. The jet lag has made me suddenly feel tired much earlier in the evening than I usally am. I am now just about feeling over the jat lag which is no good as I return to England tomorrow. As four visiting other schools, our last school visit this morning was to
Princes
Hill
Primary School . I had heard about Esme Capp (the principal) before I arrived and was really looking forward to the visit. I was not disappointed. The teachers work in teams like at Bellaire, and they plan all the learning around the assessments and as a result of the weekly meetings with each child. This means that the teachers do not know what the next weeks timetable will be until Thursday or Friday the week before. On Monday, each child is presented with the timetable and is able to choose certain parts of their weekly timetable, including when they will work independently.
In the afternoon, I met with the Australians who organised the visit and talked to them about what I have learned on this visit.
Later I went to a place called

Island . When it goes dark, hundreds of little penguins come out of the sea and walk up the beach straight past the people watching. It was an amazing site.
