On Monday 13th October 2008 people in Y6 had a very challenging circuit problem to solve: “I have a problem with mice in my house. I think they are attracted to light so I want a circuit that has a light but when the mouse arrives I want the light to go off and a scary buzzer to sound to scare them away”. One group made this amazing solution with a see-saw switch which changed the current from the light to the buzzer:

At Springfield we are thinking about the learning contexts most appropriate for our children - ones which will be relevant, effective and enjoyable while maximising learning. Y6 are helping this process by talking about which learning experiences stick in their memory and what conditions they think maximise their learning.
