On Monday 13th October 2008 people in Y6 had a very challenging circuit problem to solve: “I have a problem with mice in my house. I think they are attracted to light so I want a circuit that has a light but when the mouse arrives I want the light to go off and a scary buzzer to sound to scare them away”. One group made this amazing solution with a see-saw switch which changed the current from the light to the buzzer:

At Springfield we are thinking about the learning contexts most appropriate for our children - ones which will be relevant, effective and enjoyable while maximising learning.
