Healthy Eating comes to Woodseats!

This morning Jane and Marie came from Sainsburys. They told us about healthy eating. We tried some fruit, a healthy wrap and a smoothie.

We learned about what good and bad for you. I learned that Mrs Prosser LOVES Lychees and that Ice-Cream is made of milk.

The dangerous Earthquake (part of the Exaggerated Earthquake series)

I was watching a movie till 9.30 with my mum, later I went to bed. Suddenly I felt a shake. It

was that bad and enormous my clothes fell off the bed. By that time I was under the bed. Tissue

boxes were falling everywhere. All I could hear was my mum yelling HELP! HELP! as the things were pouring down. I crept out under my bed . Just then all the cosmetics fell on top of me, suffocating poor old me. As it stopped, I went back to bed. Phew!

The dangerous Earth tremor (part of the Exaggerated Earthquake series)

It was so tragic……….. I was woken from my mysterious dream land, when I was pulled and pushed from my bed and collapsed on the floor! Then only to find more dismay, my t.v remote fell on my precious head. “Oh the pain!” I sobbed my heart out,and then the monsterous sheep stopped terryfying me and fell asleep!

But I had to listen to its snoring all night. I do need my beauty sleep.

Sleeping Beauty’s tragic story.(part of the Exaggerated Earthquake series)

Sleeping Beauty slept 100 years through the terrible giants walk. The whole street was in shock

as the fire engine and police came pouring down the road. Pets ran about everywhere, children were screaming. A giant rocked the house and cars were wrecked to bits. But Sleeping Beauty still lay fast asleep for the next 100 years.

Emily’s Ted (Part of the Exaggerated Earthquake series!)

It was terrifying! It was horrible! Mr. Ted was dramatically plumped head-first down the bed

into a sharp , sharp wiry bin full of dangerous electrical equipment. The wires had been carelessly

discarded by Emily’s strong but scary brother.Mr.Ted could have been electocuted or KILLED!

(actually, the Teddy bear fell off the bed, into the bin on the floor!)

WHAT TO DO WITH THE POND

I have the right idea what to do with the pond area.Turn it back into a pond! All that wildlife gone forever.Only foolish people should have wanted the pond destroyed. Other people’s ideas are rubbish -honestly my idea is the best.It won’t be hard to build because together we will make it.There will be huge consequences if you don’t.   Can we afford a lack of wildlife with all this climate change?

THE X POND AREA!!!

I think that the X pond area should have been destroyed because it seemed lifeless and unstable, but since a wildlife area has gone another should be built -not a pond but a place full of life. We all want some wildlife in the school and I am sure you agree.  We can have lessons there and draw or even paint the life there. It would be fun. even A fool would agree, let alone a clever little person like you.  The school needs a bit of wildlife - it is so obvious!  Why would we want a lunch time place? All the food would go on the floor and attract ants. A P.E. rest place would be so silly -we already have millions! This idea is the best. I have given you loads of reasons only a crazy fool wouldn’t agree and you are not a fool!

Back to School!

As you know, we all came eagerly back into school this morning after a week off. You may have noticed some changes that took place over the holidays, in particular the addition of a covered seating area where the pond used to be. This is an exciting development which replaces a much under-used and often neglected area of the yard. The children have been debating how this new area should be used, so watch out for some persuasive arguments on the blog and website! Why not take part in our poll and give us your vote for the new area? We would love to hear your views.
